WHY WORMLEY LOCKDOWN BAND?

When the church building had to close for public worship in March 2020, along with every other kind of public gathering space, our worship continued online with a mix of pre-recorded and live streamed services.   Instead of live musicians we now needed music and video producers, so we had to adapt and learn new ways of leading worship.  And Wormley Lockdown Band was born.

One year and more than 50 virtual services later, there is an end in sight.  New vaccines and limiting social interactions seem to have worked, and we're hopeful that by this summer we will be meeting in person again.  Will Wormley Lockdown Band continue?    We will see.
